Learn more. The reservations here are so hard to get. I would say this is one of the better dinners I had in Honolulu. Definitely RSVP way in advance! Rest can get you on the waitlist, so don't give up! I liked the set up in the restaurant. They had hand sanitizer at the entrance, and a host greeted you right away. Our table happened to face the kitchen, so we got to see all the cool cooking go down.
Our table shared a rose wine recommended by the sommelier. There were four pieces, which was perfect because we had a party of four. I'd eat this again. We shared several plates which I think really was the best way to try more items rather than the shareable larger dishes on the menu. To start, we had the smoked ahi cigars which had seemed to be the item to get per several reviews.
They were delicious and the presentation was great. This was followed by the Maine Scallops which- may have been the best scallops we have had in general.
So flavorful, fresh, and well portioned. We then tried the sopressini which I wasn't familiar with prior but what a delectable pasta! This was followed by the duck Pappardelle which was on our menu and not the menu online - this made us super happy because we love Pappardelle! We paired this with the roasted squash which honestly even on its own was so delicious.
It had a hint of an almost sweet potato vibe to it and was paired with goat cheese. Could eat that everyday. The restaurant gave us complimentary champagne and dessert though we also ordered a separate dessert which see photo because I forgot the name was also delicious. Make a reservation in advance. I had made reservations way in advance on Resy, I don't believe they take walk-ins at this time. We ordered the smoked ahi cigars, beignets, cured hamachi, venison tartare, scallops, ravioli, and the mango tart.
I would say I was totally in love with the first three courses, they are some of the best dishes I've ever had. We would absolutely come back for these dishes next time we're in town. Service was impeccable and prices were reasonable for this fine dining experience.
The second half of the meal was less impressive, especially the dessert as I have read so many glowing reviews of Chef Mimi's creations. The mango tart was so bland for a seasonal item, mangoes were ripe but not sweet and the coconut rice pudding did not have enough coconut flavor or sweetness.

I must say, Senia was the BEST meal we've had on island in years!! From the time we arrived, we felt welcomed. The staff are very attentive, friendly and helpful. The service was impeccable as the courses were perfectly timed and any water droplets or crumbs on the table were taken care immediately.
The presentation of the dishes were beautiful and fully explained by our server. The taste, amazing! Just FYI, menu prices slightly differ on their website and in the restaurant itself.
Food: Gravlax Chip- loved the beet chip and the salmon was delicious and refreshing. Scallops- perfectly prepared and paired perfectly with the pressed pear and house made kimchee. Ahi Cigars- nice Smokey flavor and paired nicely with creme fresh and moringa powder.
Soprestini- This dish was amazing! Pasta perfectly prepared and the shrimp was so sweet. Sauce was amazingly flavorful. Dining here was a unique experience, each dish was completely different but created it's own story. The menu has changed a bit, I do miss the pastrami short rib and ahi brioche but the new items did not disappoint! Servers are very friendly and provide great recommendations if you're unsure about a certain dish. Definitely glad we listened to our server on the roasted squash. Appetizer: Smoked Ahi 'cigars' with yuzu kosho aioli {4 'cigars'} Small Plates {they are small, order at least one per person} Burrata Roasted Bone Marrow - one of my favorites Maine Sea Scallops English Pea Agnolotti Shared plate: Five-Spice Braised Beef Cheeks - 24 hour braised, tender meat and complemented by red pepper bao buns.

Already knowing brioche is very rich buttery gave me an idea of how it would balance with the ahi. Fresh thin ahi was complemented with a thin layer of avocado.
